The core of this yearbook consists of nine long articles reviewing legal, ethical, political, and practical issues related to United Nations and other international peacekeeping activities around the world. Topics covered by these papers include a review of the activities of the UN Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations form 1965 to 2005, civil-military cooperation in UN peace operations, fender and peacekeeping, lawmaking by international administrations, the legal framework of peace operations by regional organizations, the evolution of the relationship between South Korea and the United Nations, and the UN's legal obligations in terms of rule of law in peacebuilding operations.
