International Travelling Expo "Energy for a Sustainable World" starts.

ISLAMABAD -- An International Travelling Expo titled "Energies, for a Sustainable World" is going to start from today March 01 under the aegis of Pakistan Science foundation and would be continued till March 07.

The exhibition in Pakistan will travel from Islamabad to Muzaffarabad (AJK), Gilgit, Abbottabad, Gujrat, Larkana during March-April, 2013 and will be concluded at Quetta (Balochistan).

The Expo will provide a great opportunity to the students of all age groups, faculty members, researchers and general public to get firsthand knowledge about various forms of Energy, ways to enhance the Energy Resources and their proper uses for the national development.

Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), as part of its science popularization activities holds S&T Fairs and Exhibitions for creating science awareness among the students and general public. In this regard, so far more than 2 million students, teachers and general visitors have participated in these expositions, which mainly include five National S&T Fairs, four International travelling Expos and a large number of science caravan exhibitions.

PSF started arranging International Travelling Expos in 2008 in collaboration with Embassy of France in Pakistan and Centre Sciences-Orleans-France. In this regard, Expos on the themes of Mathematics, Environment, Biodiversity and Chemistry have already been held in various cities and towns of Pakistan. PSF has also inked MoU with Centre Science, Orleans-France for arranging and co-producing Expos in Pakistan.

This year, keeping in view the importance of Energy Issues, PSF has obtained Travelling Expo titled "Energies, for a Sustainable World" (prepared by Centre Sciences, Orleans-France & partners) for showcasing in Pakistan during March-April, 2013.
