International Rubber Conference succeeds.

International Rubber Conference 2013, held in Paris, France, in late March, was deemed a total success. Visitor attendance was 1,225, while 330 attended the technical conference.

Organized by Association Francaise des Ingenieurs et Cadres du Caoutchouc et des Polymeres, IRC 2013 attracted global attendees from various rubber industry sectors, including automotive, chemical, aeronautics, industrial equipment, medical, pharmaceutical, arms, naval construction, leisure, sports and others.

Seventy-six companies, including the most specialized of rubber and polymer firms, were present at IRC 2013. Between them they represented a large range of skills and know-how. These included suppliers and distributors of raw materials, processing equipment, laboratory equipment, alongside rubber and polymer processors and companies with various other business activities within the sector.

The technical conference included 120 presentations and posters. Topics included a range of different areas that will allow the whole rubber industry to evolve on an international level, responding to market forces as it does so.
