International PR Gets New Leadership on Energy Platform.
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations, the largest membership organisation for PR practitioners, has announced the line-up of its new Energy Leadership Platform (ELP), following widespread interest from members. Led by co-chairs Ella Minty MCIPR and Paddy Blewer MCIPR, the ELP will engage on key issues relating to the energy industry nationally and internationally from March 2018.
The new think tank will comprise seventeen senior qualified professionals with extensive experience in both in-house and external communications and they will advise across the energy industrial value chain. Among them, one prominent name that came forward is that of Pakistan's Aamir Abbasi, MCIPR, DipCIPR from Al-Khair Foundation.
Sarah Hall, CIPR President while talking about the CIPR aim said, "The CIPR's mission in 2018 is to assert public relations' value as a strategic management function. Nowhere is our case more strongly evidenced than in the energy sector. The new Energy Leadership Platform will give professionals a voice and help public relations gain the respect it deserves at board level."
