International Jeunesses Musicales Piano Competition. (Competitions).
The competition is open to pianists of any nationality who are under the age of 30 as of March 20, 2004. In the piano duo category, no player should be older than 35 as of March 20, 2004.
Applications can be found on the website, www.music-competition.co.yu/2004, and must be mailed no later than December 31, 2003, to the following address: International Jeunesses' Musicales Competition, Terazije 26/II, 11000 Belgrade, Yugoslavia. Appications also must include a brief curriculum vitae, copies of documents testifying candidates' musical education, references from their present or previous professors and one recent black-and-white glossy photograph (a group photo for duos), measuring 9 x 12 cm.
All applicants will be informed of their acceptance or rejection no later than February 1, 2004.
The three competitors with the highest scores obtained in the final stage will receive the first, second and third prize, according to their respective number of points; all first-prize winners are obliged to accept the concert engagements, which form an integral part of the prize. The jury shall decide on the admission of competitors to the second and the third (final) stages as well as on the award of the prizes.
