International Conference on Aquaculture Concludes.

Muscat, Dec 11 (ONA)--- Proceedings of the international conference on Development of Aquaculture Sector were concluded at Al Bustan Palace Hotel today. The two-day conference was organized by the Agriculture and Fisheries Ministry under the theme "Investment Opportunities ". The closing day of the conference included a session titled "Investment Atmosphere in the Sultanate," during which reviewing the atmosphere of investment and economy in the Sultanate, the organizational and legal framework of aquaculture in the Sultanate, application of best practices in the field, the planned aquaculture and the history of Oman Development Bank, in addition to reviewing Norway experience in Salmon aquaculture. Experts from different countries of the world, a number of international organizations, such as FAO, the Asian Aquaculture Network (AAN), World Aquaculture Society (WAS), Arab Agriculture Organization and a number of local and international companies with experience in the field of aquaculture took part in the conference. --- Ends/ KH
