International Bible Society and Send the Light announce merger.
International Bible Society (IBS), a translator and distributor of the Bible and Bible texts, and Send the Light (STL), a distributor of Christian literature, have announced that they have entered into a merger agreement after the completion of a three-month due diligence period.
Upon the completion of the merger Keith Danby, CEO of STL, will assume the position of Global CEO for the merged company. The boards of both organisations have reportedly agreed to work towards an official merger date of 1 March 2007.
The merged organisation is to be named IBS-STL and will have operations in the US, the United Kingdom, India, Asia, Africa and Latin America, as well as other parts of the world.
Financial details of the merger were not disclosed.
