Internal release for BMC, SMC won't mar parts.

A new internal mold release for polyester BMC and SMC is intended to replace the usual zinc stearate. MoldWiz INT-4082 from Axel Plastics Research Laboratories, Inc., Woodside, N.Y., is a proprietary formulation said to give release properties equal to or better than zinc stearate without leaving residue on molded parts--a common drawback with zinc stearate. Preliminary reports also indicate that INT-4082 can be used at lower levels, reducing concerns about out-gassing of residual release from molded parts. Tel: (800) 332-AXEL,
