Intergraph Public Safety to Provide Integrated Police Information Solution to the City of Regina, Saskatchewan.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 15, 2004

Advanced Technology to Manage Emergencies

The City of Regina, Saskatchewan has awarded Intergraph Public Safety (IPS) (NASDAQ: INGR) a contract to provide a fully integrated computer aided dispatch (CAD), police records management (RMS), automated field reporting, and mobile data computing solution. The contract award value is $1.5 million (US).

The Regina Police Service (RPS) needed a state-of-the-art incident management solution that would improve efficiency, effectiveness, and the quality of operations while improving services to the public. The IPS solution will provide a single point of data entry, removing redundancy and duplication of effort, and improve access to both internal and external systems, such as the Canadian Police Information Center.

Officers in the field will be able to access arrest records and mug shots, or see where hazardous chemicals are stored in a burning building. Field personnel can file reports without returning to their offices, therefore allowing more time on the streets supporting community-oriented policing efforts.

The City of Regina is the capital of the province of Saskatchewan, Canada with a population of 190,000 covering 110 square kilometers. RPS currently responds to about 71,000 calls for service yearly.
