Interconnect System performs up to 15 GHz.

The GORE[TM] Ultra High Density (UHD) Interconnect System for cable-to-board and cable-to-cable coaxial applications performs at frequencies up to 15 GHz and supports data rates up to 10 Gb/s. It consists of PC board-mounted interposers/headers and low-loss coaxial assemblies.

The RF connector system features low insertion forces and simple blind mating. The cable assemblies come as single lines or ganged into 1X2, 1X4, and 1X8 housings. The typical insertion loss is 0.90 dB/ft or less through 6 GHz with low-loss cable and 0.75-dB/ft or less through 6 GHz with ultralow-loss cable.

The UHD-compatible PCB header is available in surface and edge-launch versions. Signal spacing within each header equals 0.120", and headers can be stacked side-to-side or end-to-end. From $14. W.L. Gore & Associates,
