InterDigital declares new stock buy back authorization of USD100m.

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-May 7, 2012-InterDigital declares new stock buy back authorization of USD100m(C)1994-2012 M2 COMMUNICATIONS

Developer of fundamental wireless technologies, InterDigital Inc's (NASDAQ:IDCC) board of directors approved a new stock repurchase programme for USD100m, the company disclosed on Friday.

Additionally, the company said that it recently completed its share buy back programme under the earlier USD100m authorization.

InterDigital under the new programme may similarly buy stock regularly via open market purchases, pre-arranged trading plans or privately-negotiated transactions, as it did previously.

Further, the amount and timing of the repurchases will depend on factors,such as, general business and market conditions, the availability of a trading window, cash requirements, strategic investment opportunities, signing of any new license agreements or any sale agreements related to its non-core patent assets, the company stated.
