Inter can salvage a draw; FOOTBALL.

INTER v JUVENTUS 7.45pm ONLY weeks into his reign at the San Siro, Claudio Ranieri is beginning to realise that dragging Inter back up the Serie A table may not be that easy and his side face a massive game against leaders Juventus tonight, writes Ian Wilkerson.

Inter have collected just two victories from their last eight league matches and they have eight points to make up. Even if it is not desperate yet, lying 16th is far from ideal and they will have to go into tonight's clash without goalkeeper Julio Cesar, who has been ruled out for a month with a thigh strain.

President Massimo Moratti commented on the poor performance of striker Diego Milito in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Atalanta, so the players know they need to improve.

Juve remain unbeaten but four of their eight matches have ended in draws and this promises to be another tight one.

There have been 26 draws in 80 Serie A matches this term, which is a bigger percentage than in the top flights in England, Spain and Germany and despite the gap in their league positions there appears to be little between the two teams in terms of performance.
