Instructors launching year in terrific style.

Byline: PETE BARROW

THE NEW year has heralded a new start for instructors at Total Taekwondo Martial Arts Schools.

Based in Kirkheaton and Nirvana Fitness, Chapel St, Huddersfield, four instructors of the TTMAS received their grading results after testing in December.

The testing, which covers all aspects of the ITF Taekwondo syllabus including punching, kicking, self defence, patterns, basics and destruction, was held by the Independent Martial Arts Association in South Yorkshire.

The IMA panel also put the TTMAS instructors through their academic paces, testing them on their knowledge of the art, Korean terminology and theory.

All instructors passed with exceptionally high rates, and in doing so Paul Dawson achieved his second degree black belt, Lee Priest and Clare Green achieved third degree and Head Instructor David Cliffe was successful in attaining his fourth Degree.
