Insight Media Honors MicroDisplay Corporation with "Best Buzz at CES 2007" Award.

"MicroDisplay Corporation Gains a CES Best Buzz Award This Year by Offering What We Believe to Be the Best and Only Single-Chip LCOS Powered Set Available Today."

FREMONT, Calif. -- MicroDisplay Corporation, a new manufacturer of high-quality HDTVs, announced today that it received a "Best Buzz" award from industry analysts at Insight Media for its Liquid Fidelity single-chip LCOS technology, which it demonstrated at this year's Consumer Electronics Show. MicroDisplay's Liquid Fidelity powers large screen rear-projection HDTVs at a lower cost with an extremely high-quality picture.

The Best Buzz awards are given by Insight Media at CES and other trade shows each year. As one of the leading sources of information on the electronic display industry, Insight Media's "Best Buzz" awards are highly coveted and respected in the industry. Companies cannot petition to win - they are chosen by showing products or technologies that stand out and create a buzz in the industry because of their uniqueness and innovation.

"MicroDisplay Corporation gains a CES Best Buzz award this year by offering what we believe to be the best and only single-chip LCOS powered set available today," says Chris Chinnock, President of Insight Media. "Not only is the 1080p performance up to snuff, but with one instead of three panels, it should offer a lower cost solution."

MicroDisplay Corporation will manufacture the sets for its first OEM brand partners, Memorex and Akai. A 56-inch model will be the first to market this summer, with 52-, 62- and 70-inch models to follow.

MicroDisplay Corporation's proprietary single-chip 1080p Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) digital projection imaging technology provides an exceptionally high-quality HDTV picture at a lower manufacturing cost. As a result, large-screen 1080p HDTVs will be available to a much wider range of consumers at a lower price point. This technology, branded by MicroDisplay as "Liquid Fidelity," produces a smooth, natural picture with a fine texture, accurate colors and a fast response time for a film-like home theater experience. MicroDisplay Corporation is the first company to mass-produce LCOS devices with the fast response times necessary for use in a single-chip design and its technology sets a new cost/performance standard.

"We are extremely proud to receive such prestigious industry recognition," says Christopher Norris, CEO of MicroDisplay. "The industry experts have seen our technology with their own eyes and are as excited as we are about Liquid Fidelity coming to market this Summer."
