This winter and spring, ACTE will be hosting Webinars on a variety of topics, including an event about CTE program return on investment, and more sessions focused on industry certifications. Past events are available to watch as archived recordings. Webinars are free and many are open only to members. * CareerSafe Contest
CarecrSafc is sponsoring a National Youth Safety Video contest; the win-ning students will receive up to a $2,500 scholarship and each student's school will get up to a $5,000 cash prize. * Call for Entries for the ACTE and NiOSH School Lab Safety Award
Sponsored by ACTE and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, the School Lab Safety Award seeks to encourage a safe and healthy enviroment in school laboratories. NIOSH and ACTE are seeking written entries from ACTE members on the subject of "Promoting Safety and Health in Career and Technical Education." One entry will be selected to receive an award of $750 to the author and $250 to the author's educational institution. To enter, visit www.acteonline.org/award_NIOSH.aspx. The presentation of the award will be made at the ACTE National Policy Seminar in Washington, D.C., March 5-7, 2012. All entries must come from an ACTE member and the deadline for submission is January 13, 2012.
