Innovations there for all to C.

Citroen has chosen this month's Frankfurt Motor Show to display a trio of new models.

The C-SportLounge concept car stars alongside the flagship Citroen C6 and an updated version of the C3 supermini.

The C-SportLounge aims to combine sleek lines with two-plus-two comfort and refinement.

Power comes from a choice of petrol or diesel engines delivering up to 200bhp and is transmitted via a paddle-shift six-speed gearbox.

Also on show is the C6 model that is set to hit the UK's showrooms early next year.

The third model in the motor show trio is the latest incarnation of the C3, which gets a 1.6 HDi 110bhp diesel engine added to the range.

The new C3's redesigned front end has a revised bumper, a wider and lower air intake, a single-air intake slit below the restyled radiator grille and a repositioned number plate.

Inside there is a restyled dashboard with a higher-quality finish.
