Inn a tryst over pub 'affair' blog.

THE boss of a secluded pub has removed a tongue-in-cheek advert on its website which referred to it as the "perfect place to have an affair" after an offended customer cancelled his plan to eat there.

The Trusty Servant Inn's blog boasted: "We are secluded, serve alcohol and have rooms for bed and breakfast. Call now to arrange the perfect affair package!" However, Steve Whitfield, 61, took offence and decided not to visit the pub, in Minstead, Hants, for a meal.

Mr Whitfield, of Hythe, said: "Call me a dinosaur but have this country's moral values declined to such an extent that to have an affair is now seen as a selling point?" Pub owner Debbie Lewis, whose son Sam, the general manager, put up the blog, apologised for any offence and said they thought it would be seen as a "festive joke".
