Initiative: Customs Union is an attempt by Russia to expand its borders by depriving other countries of their sovereignty.

Yerevan. The countries that have joined Russia's Customs Union are deprived of an opportunity to make independent decisions

and join other free trade areas. The initiative group "We Are Against the Customs Union with Russia" said in a statement over the

intention of the Armenian authorities to join the Customs Union. The initiative group was created on September 3 on Facebook and has

already involved over 3000 users.

"Joining the Customs Union we will not be able to independently decide to join the DCFTA with the EU (that implies trading

with the EU countries with zero customs duties and introduction of European standards in economy in general), as the EU will not

negotiate with Russian on the matter. Customs Union is an attempt by Russia "sparkling" with countrywide corruption and Soviet

psychology to expand its borders by depriving other countries of their sovereignty. Eurasian Union, in turn, will be an attempt to finally

deprive other countries of their political sovereignty," the authors of the statement say.

They believe that the Armenian people are part of the European and not Russian civilization. They are afraid of joining the

Customs Union, Armenia will actually lose its sovereignty, and it will be fixed at a legal level in future. In fact, Armenia will disappear

from the world map. The Initiative Group pledges to use all possible means "to fail the treasonous program aimed at destruction of our
