Infobank's InTrade Solution to Power Electronic Trading Hubs Worldwide Aimed at Streamlining Health Care Industry.

Milestone Illustrates Infobank's Success as Leader

In Enabling Global B2B e-commerce

BROOMFIELD, Colo., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ --

Further solidifying its position as a premier provider of global B2B e-commerce solutions, Infobank today announced that its flagship InTrade software will power three digital marketplaces geared toward improving efficiencies of public and private health care systems around the world.

InTrade will help dramatically reduce costs and save time in purchasing medical supplies, pharmaceuticals and streamlining a wide range of other health care-related activities in the United States, United Kingdom and South Africa. Today's announcement bolsters Infobank's presence in powering digital marketplaces in the health care, pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.

InTrade will power Vitals986, an electronic medical community based in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., that will assist medical practices with everything needed to run a paperless office. Vitals986 provides a first-of-its kind package of technological products and a myriad of services which allow its member physicians to streamline everything from negotiating contracts to buying office and medical supplies.

InTrade also will run Medipurchase Ltd., a healthcare marketplace that will simplify the purchase of medical supplies for the National Health Service, the United Kingdom government's subsidized health services system. Medipurchase conducted an extensive evaluation of B2B e-commerce products in Europe and the United States, selecting Infobank over Ariba and Commerce One.

Medipurchase will feature a number of tools, including an auction site to buy and sell excess inventory and services as well as aggregated buying to enable users to take advantage of volume discounts on medical supplies.

Infobank also has entered into an agreement with Intersolve Health Informatics to build a trading portal for the public and private sectors of the health care industry in South Africa. Intersolve is a subsidiary of Ariel Technologies, which aims to implement e-hubs throughout South Africa using InTrade's e-hub technology.

"Infobank InTrade's unique approach to building business-to-business exchanges is well-suited to the needs of the health-care industry around the world, where the desire to streamline processes to save time and money are paramount," said Graham Sadd, CEO of Infobank. "Infobank offers a flexible solution that scales with the industries as those industries' needs evolve and we look forward to helping the health care industry realize the true promise of B2B e-commerce."

In addition to today's announced health care marketplaces, Infobank's B2B e-commerce solutions will power other ventures in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. InTrade also will run Biotech Analytics Ltd.'s e-labSHOP, a customized marketplace for the biotechnology industry in Europe. PharmiWeb will use InTrade to power a digital marketplace that will enable companies worldwide to buy goods and services from a wide range of life sciences suppliers -- including leading pharmaceutical players such as Pfizer, Roche and Glaxo Wellcome.

Infobank's success in delivering B2B e-commerce solutions around the globe also is illustrated with the company's recent success in the United States, where its solutions are targeted specifically at market makers and middle- market companies, one of the fastest-growing segments of the market for B2B e-commerce.

In addition to Vitals986, Infobank's InTrade will power Latino-B2B, an electronic trading hub aimed at enabling Latino business nationwide to sell products and services to Fortune 1000 companies and government entities. BikeCommerce.com, an electronic trading hub powered by InTrade, will connect independent bicycle retailers, suppliers and customers nationwide.

Infobank's InTrade offers the broadest range of middle-market and market maker solutions, packaged in one scalable, multi-platform product, allowing middle-market companies and e-marketplaces the ability to create a trading community, and provide unique functionality to address the individual needs of purchasers and/or member suppliers.

Embedded in Infobank's technology is multi-language and multi-currency functionality, as well as a firm knowledge of cultural and international trading considerations, enabling companies to transact with buyers and suppliers around the world.
