* "Produce Packaging" says U.S. demand for produce packaging is projected to increase 5.1% per year, to US$ 3.6 billion in 2008. Above-average advances are anticipated for plastic containers, bags and liners, and reusable plastic containers (RPCs). Corrugated boxes, the dominant produce packaging type, will post slower advances, although opportunities will be driven by favorable acceptance of modular systems like corrugated modular footprint products which compete strongly with RPCs.
* "Labels" forecasts U.S. label shipments to increase by 5.7% per year, to US$ 15.2 billion in 2008. Products that compete effectively with traditional label types (such as glue-applied) and direct printing will post the most rapid gains.
* "World Pressure Sensitive Tapes" deals with the world market for pressure sensitive tapes (PST), anticipated to expand at an annual pace of 5.3% through 2008. The U.S. will remain the largest single-country tape market. By contrast, there is substantial room for additional market penetration in the world's developing regions. Corrugated carton sealing tapes will continue to account for more than two-thirds of aggregate volume sales.
