Industry and Commerce Minister praises UNIDO's efforts in Bahrain.

Manama, Oct. 31. (BNA) -- Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro commended the tremendous efforts and remarkable initiatives of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) in Bahrain, , as well as its cooperation and coordination with the Government of Bahrain, in general, and the Industry and Commerce Ministry, in particular, through providing the needed support for the industrial sector's various projects and programmes.

This came as he received here today UNIDO's Director of Business, Investment and Technology Service Branch and Representative of General Manger of UNIDO in Vienna Dr. Mohamed Lamine Dhaoui, who visited the kingdom to participate in the "Invest in Bahrain Forum 2013", in presence of Head of the UNIDO Investment and Technology Promotion Office (UNIDO-ITPO) Dr. Hashim Hussain.

In this regard, the minister appreciated all efforts made by the UNIDO in cooperation and coordination with Ministry's programmes in enhancing small enterprises.

He also stressed the importance of the role played by UNIDO in developing many entrepreneurs and supporting their projects.

Dr. Fakhro asserted that cooperation between the Ministry and UNIDO and other international organisations contribute significantly to promoting and developing the economy.

Dr. Mohamed Lamine valued highly the efforts made by the Ministry in creating and preparing young national cadres and training them in the field of small and medium industries.
