Industrial units being built to pull in business.

Nine new industrial units will be built on land in Wyre Forest, council bosses have announced.

The site, next to the Hoobrook Enterprise Centre, has been vacant since the construction of the Hoobrook Link Road, Silverwoods Way.

But Wyre Forest District Council has now appointed Construction and Fit Out Solutions (CAFOS) from Birmingham to construct the new units.

The news comes after an announcement last week that Bromsgrove-based firm Barton Firtop is also planning to build a 60,000 square foot plant for the expansion of its filtration products business on the Silverwoods site.

Mike Parker, corporate director for economic prosperity at Wyre Forest District Council, said: "The council continues to invest in new space to enable our businesses to grow and the new units it has planned as an extension to the Hoobrook Enterprise Centre will complement the recent announcement of the expansion of the business start up and incubator space at Forest House."
