Indo-Pak Flippers claim inaugural tournament.

Dubai: The Indo-Pak Flippers claimed top honours at the inaugural Expatriates Cup indoor cricket tournament that concluded at Insportz last week.

The tournament was organised by Insportz in association with UAE Xchange in an attempt to promote unity through diversity among players from India and Pakistan.

After four rounds of competitive games, the Indo-Pak Flippers, G8 Pakistan, Fresh Hub India and Pakistan Lads qualified for the last-four stage.

The semi-finals were tightly fought, especially the game between Indo-Pak Flippers and Pakistan Lads, which went down to the last ball before the Flippers came through, while the Fresh Hub Indians beat G8 Pakistan.

Batting first, Fresh Hub Indians were under severe pressure against some tight bowling from Indo-Pak Flippers. After spending eight overs in the minus, Aslam, Niyaz, Hari and Bhaskar ensured they reached a total of 5.

That total was never a problem for the Flippers as they managed a total of 71 to take the inaugural title.
