Indian holo market growing at 15%.
According to a new 39-page report published by Cygnus Business Consulting & Research, headquartered in Hyderabad, the Indian hologram market is currently worth Rs4.5 billion ([+ or -] $95m/[euro]74m) and is expected to grow at 15% CAGR (compound annual) for the next five years. The main driver for this growth is product authentication and excise collection.
According to the Report, around half of this market is in liquor excise stamps (which in India are issued by the state governments), followed by pharmaceuticals at 20% value, fast-moving consumer goods at 8% and vehicle components at 3%. Not only is excise stamps the biggest part of the market, it is also the fastest growing.
Of the 40 or more hologram producers in India, the Report identifies and focuses on Holostik, Holoflex, Holographic Security Marking Systems, Kumbhat Holograms and Am-agic Holographics India, the last a subsidiary of K Laser of Taiwan. For each of these companies the Report includes a product profile, defines its major markets and strong regions, its users and present management strategy.
