Indian Tribals Walk on Fire.
Devotees from across the state start thronging Shiva's temple to witness this fire walk. As the night falls, devotees set fire on a heap of coal. After the coal turns into ember, the devotees walk over it. Be it child, adult or old, devotees of all ages walk over this burning coal.
According to devotees, they walk over fire is only to appease Shiva."We have been doing it for last five years. I am enjoying it," said Swati Tirky, a devotee. The common belief attributed to this ritual is that whosoever walks over the fire Lord Shiva fulfills her or his wishes.
The event is held every year at Chutia in Jharkhand.
