Indian NDC Delegation Visits State Council.

Muscat, Aug 23 (ONA) --- A delegation from the Indian National Defence College (NDC) led by Maj.Gen B. Singh, Senior Faculty of the College visited the State Council today within the framework of the delegation's official visit to the Sultanate.

The delegation was received by honourable Yahya bin Rasheed al-Juma, member of the State Council's Office who praised the existing relations between the Sultanate and India, as well as the strong bonds binding the two friendly countries and peoples.

The delegation was briefed on the Council of Oman "Majlis Oman," in addition to familiarizing with the Council's role in relation to legislative and oversight aspects in implementation of development plans, besides its contribution in consolidating authentic values of the Omani community, preserving its achievements and affirming the principles stipulated in the Basic Law of the State.

The Head of the Indian NDC delegation expressed his delight and that of his accompanying delegation to visit the Sultanate, looking forward towards further progress and growth in the relations of the two friendly countries in a manner that contributes in achieving their interests in various fields. He commended the development growth being witnessed by the Sultanate under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said.

At the end of the visit, the guest toured building of the State Council during which he familiarized himself with its various facilities.
