India : COIMBATORE GOVT. Hospital to award a contract to trap rodents to a private firm.

After a child had died as he was bitten by rats, leading to heated debates, the Coimbatore government hospital has decided to award a contract to trap the rodents to a private firm.

Soon after being ordered by health officials, hospital authorities have been trying their level best to prevent the menace posed by rodents and other animals around the government hospital and the medical college surroundings.

Resident medical officer Dr P Sivaprakasam said they intend to give a tender to a private firm to control the rodents.
