India,Venezuela : INDIA, VENEZUALA negotiate supply deal in hydrocarbons industry.

India is expecting Venezuela to help it fulfill its growing need for crude oil.

The two countries are negotiating a supply deal in the hydrocarbons industry.

Rafael Ramirez, the Energy and Mines Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, had visited India to enter talks with the Indian Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, M. Veerappa Moily.

The two ministers reviewed continuing cooperation in the hydrocarbons industry during the meeting.

Ramirez lauded the involvement of Indian companies in the upstream exploration and production industry and also the firms that were top off takers of Venezuelan crude oil

He said Indian oil and gas establishments were welcomed in Venezuela and encouraged the Indian oil and gas firms to boost their participation in the prolific Venezuelan oil and gas industry.
