India,Japan : Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council inks MoU with Japan for IT collaboration.

The Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council declared that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mobile Content Forum, a Japanese trade association in order to boost partnerships between Indian and Japanese IT companies.

According to Council s Executive Director D.K. Sareen, the MoU will assure that the member companies of both organisations work together in the areas of application development, gaming and embedded software.

He said that, "Fifty of our member companies have their own offices in Tokyo Companies on both side will benefit by outsourcing to Indian companies."

The MoU was initialed by Koji Ito, Executive Director of MCF, and Sareen at the Indiasoft - India IT Show'.

"In the recent months, IT exports were picking up. He expects the growth to be more pronounced going forward as the slowdown trends in developing countries phase out gradually," said J.K. Dadoo, Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
