India's central bank reappoints Shyamala Gopinath as deputy governor.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has said that it has reappointed Shyamala Gopinath as deputy governor until June 20, 2011.
Gopinath looks after the central bank's departments of internal debt management, foreign exchange, government and bank accounts and non-banking supervision. She is also in charge of the departments of external investments and operations, financial markets, communication, legal, secretary's department and central vigilance cell.
Gopinath was initially appointed as deputy governor on September 21, 2004 for five years, the RBI said.
