Indefinite hospital order for man, 31, who killed his lover.

A MAN found to have killed his lover has been given an indefinite hospital order.

Ozekell Empire, 31, was deemed unfit to stand trial following the death of Andrea Carr.

Her body was found at their home on Nechells Park Road in December 2014.

A post-mortem examination revealed Ms Carr died from asphyxiation.

Following a two-day trial of facts, the jury were satisfied Empire had killed her.

And on Monday he was given an indefinite hospital order at Birmingham Crown Court.

Andrea's family said: "Andrea is dearly missed and we hope that nobody else has to endure loss in these circumstances.

"We are happy with the decision of the court but nothing will replace Angie in our lives."

Tributes were paid on Facebook after Ms Carr's death. JoJo Wade posted: "R.I.P! I knew her, I can't believe it.

"We went (to) college together and was good friends."

Nathaniel Nathu Masih said: "Crazy she used to be in my year at school RIP."

Louise Donnelly added: "RIP beautiful lady.

"May justice be served for u x."

And Arlando Jay-Brooks wrote: "I knew her for years around the area.

"She was one of my friends as well.

"Can't believe it myself."
