Increase in tempature force people to remain indoors.

LARKANA -- Larkana and its surroundings remained in a grip of severe heat on Sunday, forcing majority of people to remain indoors.

The local Met office recorded maximum temperature as 47 degrees Celsius.

Severe heat affected the daily business adversely and the prices of ice and cold drinks soared up tremendously.

The weather severity has also increased incidents of Sun-stroke and sunburn.

Meanwhile, the District Health Department has distributed hand-bills bearing suggestion for the people to avoid sun-stroke and other heat related complications. The people are advised to use water and other liquids more Over-ripe and unripe fruits should not be used and to wear light color clothes be used.

Medical Superintendent, Chandka Medical College Hospital Larkana has also notified that special arrangements have been made in all the hospitals for the treatment of Sun stroke, sunburn, prickly heat and hypertension patients.
