Ince looks to Simpson.

BLACKBURN have agreed to sign Manchester United full-back Danny Simpson on a one-year loan.

The 21-year-old played eight times for United last term, including two Champions League appearances, but ended the season loaned out to Ipswich.

He looked unlikely to enjoy better first team prospects this season, with United captain Gary Neville back in contention after injury, and he now has the chance to prove himself.

Blackburn boss Ince has added goalkeeper Paul Robinson and Carlos Villanueva to his squad since joining from MK Dons, and former Rovers and Everton keeper Bobby Mimms has also agreed to return to the club as goalkeeping coach. He spent six years at Rovers from 1990 and 1996.
