In-form Rhyl and Caernarfon to clash in Welsh Cup.
THIS Sunday sees North Wales teams in action in the FAW Women's Welsh Cup first round proper.
The top tie is undoubtedly the clash between Welsh Premier Rhyl and North Wales League leaders Caernarfon Town at the Corbett Sports Stadium (2pm).
Rhyl recently beat Port Talbot at home and last weekend saw them give champions Cardiff Met a great battle before losing 3-1.
Caernarfon have been unstoppable in the NWWL, winning all eight matches, scoring 56 goals and conceding just two.
Their 18-goal top-scorer Catrin Thomas is definitely a player to watch, but former Wales international Katie Davies and top-class keeper Elena Julio could also be key performers.
Bethel are on a five-match winning run in the NWWL and have home advantage against Penrhyncoch of the Ceredigion League.
An all-NWWL tussle between in-form Llanfair United and improving Amlwch Town could be a close one, while Kinmel Bay face a big test against visitors Aberystwyth Town of the WWPL.
