CASES heard at Coventry Magistrates Court on Monday, September 21, included: Asif Khan, 39, of Freeman Street, Foleshill, admitted stealing a wallet. He was jailed for 12 weeks and had to pay PS200 compensation and a PS180 criminal courts charge.

William Nixon, 52, of Humber Avenue, Stoke, admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath, driving while disqualified and driving with no insurance or MOT, and breaching a suspended sentence. He was jailed for 42 weeks, banned from driving for four years, and had to pay an PS80 victim surcharge and a PS150 criminal courts charge.

Liam Askew, 20, of Masser Road, Holbrooks, admitted taking a vehicle without consent, and driving with the wrong licence and no insurance. He received seven penalty points and had to pay a PS230 fine, PS150 compensation, a PS23 victim surcharge, PS85 costs and a PS150 criminal courts charge.

Lee Cassidy, 29, of Sewall Highway, Wyken, admitted damaging a window at a house in Canley. He had to pay a PS75 fine, PS250 compensation, a PS20 victim surcharge and a PS150 criminal courts charge.

Jason Coombe, 45, of Oratory Drive, Willenhall, admitted drink-driving (breath 53, limit 35), driving with the wrong licence, driving without due care and attention, failing to stop a vehicle for the police, and possessing the class B drug cannabis. He was banned from driving for 16 months and had to pay a PS110 fine, a PS20 victim surcharge, PS85 costs and a PS150 criminal courts charge.

Ben Kane, 31, of Grange Avenue, Binley, admitted damaging a front window at the Litten Tree public house. He was conditionally discharged for six months and had to pay PS400 compensation, a PS15 victim surcharge and a PS150 criminal courts charge.

Jason Meakin, 30, of Meadow Street, Spon End, admitted assaulting a woman by beating, and damaging a 50-inch TV. He received a 12-month community order comprising programme and rehabilitation activity requirements, and had to pay a PS50 fine, a PS60 victim surcharge and a PS150 criminal courts charge.

Fathiya Farid, 32, of Winston Avenue, Henley Green, admitted assaulting a man by beating. She had to pay a PS35 fine, a PS20 victim surcharge and a PS150 criminal courts charge.

Everton Myrie, 25, of Adelaide Street, Hillfields, admitted pursuing a course of harassment by making 45 phone calls and sending threatening text messages, breaching a non-molestation order by sending 11 text messages, and possessing the class A drug cocaine. He received a two-year community order comprising 60 hours' unpaid work and programme and rehabilitation activity requirements, and had to pay a PS60 victim surcharge, PS40 costs and a PS180 criminal courts charge.

Mieczyslaw Margiel, 57, of Grange Road, Longford, admitted assaulting a woman by beating. He received a 12-month community order comprising a rehabilitation activity requirement, and had to pay an PS80 fine, a PS60 victim surcharge, PS85 costs and a PS150 criminal courts charge.

CASES heard at Coventry Magistrates Court on Tuesday, September 22, included: Andrei Birsoianu, 20, of King Edward Road, Hillfields, admitted driving with no insurance. He received seven penalty points and had to pay a PS100 fine, a PS20 victim surcharge and a PS150 criminal courts charge.
