In The Bank

Did you hear that First Exchange Bank of Little Rock has a new president and CEO?

We did.

His name is Guy Humphries, and he's a new addition to the First Exchange family of banks.

Humphries is replacing Randy Johnson, who will move back to his native Cape Girardeau, Mo. Johnson will take a loan administration position with First Exchange Corp., the holding company.

Its roots can be traced back to Arkansas.

The sign is in the office of Andrew Yuder, an executive with Paine Webber. It arrived there via John Allison of Capital Buyers Inc. of Conway (Arkansas Business, May 20).

The original is posted in the Lewis Livestock Co. sale barn at Conway, where Allison and Tom Prince took Yuder as part of a detour from a business trip.

During this cultural enrichment session, the city boy from back East saw cows in the wild and the "Don't Spit On The Floor" sign.

"He was so fascinated with it, I had him one made and gave it to him as a Christmas present," Allison says.
