In search of ... dining menus from faraway places, country-loving pen pals, sheet music, and other good old-fashioned country know-how.

DINING MENUS. I'm looking for dining menus of all kinds. I collect menus from historic restaurants and small-town cafes, diners, pubs, taverns--any place that serves food. I really enjoy getting a taste of places I've never been, and I love receiving menus from anywhere in the world. If you'd be interested in sharing menus or stories, please write to me.

COUNTRY PALS. I'm looking for pen pals of any age. I'm a 23-year-old registered nurse and the oldest of five children. I love God and my family, and I have many interests. I live on a small farm with my parents and siblings where I enjoy gardening; taking care of our cows, chickens, pigs, dogs and cats; cooking; canning; baking; and playing games with my family. I also enjoy the piano, being outside, and working, whether on the farm or at my job. Hope to hear from you soon!

LOST UNCLE. I am looking for my uncle, Bernard William Spragg. A few years ago, he was married to a woman from Honduras named Julia. No one in the family that I have talked to has heard from him in 10 years or so, but he has lived and worked in Las Vegas and numerous places in Florida. He was born in 1949, I believe, and has one living sister in Minnesota. If you have any information, please contact me.

NEW FRIENDS. I am a 69-year-old grandmother looking for pen pals. I am retired and living on my childhood farm. I love country life and am very active. I enjoy baking for charity events, gardening, canning, sewing, auctions, horseback riding, big band music and traveling. I would enjoy hearing from others with similar interests, and I promise to answer all letters!

NEEDLEWORK LETTERS. I love to write letters and am seeking pen pals who share interests similar to mine: reading (I especially enjoy mysteries), baking, gardening and needlecrafts. I enjoy and am passionate about counted cross stitching, knitting, crocheting and quilting. I have recently become interested in wool applique and penny rugs. My husband and I live in a log cabin on three acres, where we share our home with three cats and two dogs. If you'd like to swap stories and tips, I'll meet you at the mailbox.

LOST FRIEND. Someone with whom I was close pen pals from 1962 to 1964 is a lovely person from Pueblo, Colorado, and went to school with my then-boyfriend, Dale Gennetten. Her maiden name was Joan Burchett. I would love to be in touch with her again. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

JESSIE YOUNG. I am looking for magazines published by Jessie Young, who had a radio broadcast (Jessie's Homemaker Radio Visit) from her home in Lincoln, Nebraska, from 1946 to 1980. She offered readers a glimpse into her family life, plus supplied words of wisdom, crafts and great recipes. I have some of the early issues, but if anyone has information about where I could find some of the later ones, please write me.

NATURE NUTS. I am 63 and a nature nut. I like to take photographs of wild animals, birds and scenery. I've taken camping trips in the Adirondacks in New York and Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada. I also make homemade cards; teach papercraft classes; repurpose antiques; and enjoy gardening, rides in the country and cooking. I'm looking for pen pals who share my interests!
