FOOTBALL: A towering 90th-minute header by Darren Moore earned West Bromwich Albion reserves a deserved 3-3 draw with Newcastle United at Aggborough in a Premiership Reserve League North match.

The giant defender met a cross by transfer-listed Artim Sakiri and looped the ball into the far corner.

Albion had trailed for much of the match, despite leading in the 19th minute when Rob Elvins and Kyle Patterson combined for the latter to loft the ball over keeper Tony Caig.

A blistering shot by James Milner cannoned off the far upright and into the net to bring Newcastle level on 25 minutes. Fourteen minutes later they led from a well-struck Martin Brittain free kick.

But Albion equalised with a bizarre 76th-minute own goal by Andy O'Brien when an attempted clearance by Caig rebounded off the prostrate defender. Guy Bates restored Newcastle's lead with a mis-hit 84th-minute shot.

NON-LEAGUE: Utility player Richard Robinson has been freed by Southern Premier battlers Solihull Borough after half-a-dozen games.
