In White Plains, $4M renovation at Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza.

A new restaurant, a redesigned lobby area and 400 completely redecorated guest rooms are the major elements of a $4 million capital improvement program announced by Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, one of Westchester County's largest luxury hotels.

The redesign program, the largest undertaken by the hotel in its s-evenyear history, begins with a redecorating of the guest rooms. In order to minimize inconvenience to customers, the hotel will redecorate three floors at a time, with one floor per week to be completed. Work on the lobby, lounge, restaurant and other common areas will begin shortly. All of the work is expected to be completed by the end of May 1993.

The details of the new redesign program include:

* The entry way will be redesigned with new columns, signage and lighting. The new entry way will better define the sense of arrival at the hotel and create a strong positive image at the front door

* The lobby will be completely redone to reflect a warmer, more residential feeling.
