Impressive medal haul for town swimmers.

LOUGHBOROUGH Town Swimming Club were in action in Grantham over the weekend and returned home with an impressive haul of 42 medals.

The swimmers were taking part in the Lincoln Vulcans Open Meet and won 18 gold, 13 silver and 11 bronze, with swimmers also achieving top eight placings in a further 29 races.

Gold medal winners were: Abbie Ruddle (15) - 200m Butterfly, 100m and 200m backstroke and 100m Individual Medley; Alfie Molloy (12) - 100m Individual Medley and 50m freestyle; Navin Sae-Sue (14) - 100m Individual Medley, 100m breaststroke and 50m breaststroke; Elizabeth Palfrey - 50m and 200m backstroke; Toby James - 200m Individual Medley; Willem Muddimer(13) - 200m Individual Medley, 100m breaststroke and 50m freestyle; Niamh Muddimer - 50m breaststroke; Harrison Cook - 100m freestyle; Lisa Kufleitner (9) - 50m breaststroke.

Silver medals: George Larke (15) - 100m Backstroke; Francesca Palfrey (12) - 50m freestyle; Elizabeth Palfrey - 100m freestyle; James Lake (12) - 200m Individual Medley and 200m freestyle; Niamh Muddimer - 200m backstroke; Harrison Cook (12) - 50m & 100m butterfly; Lisa Kufleitner - 200m breaststroke; Oliwier Pacholec (12) -50m freestyle and 50m backstroke; Willem Muddimer - 50m & 100m butterfly.

Bronze medals: Jack Goldfinch (13) 200m Backstroke; Alfie Molloy - 100m backstroke; Francesca Palfrey - 100m butterfly; Elizabeth Palfrey - 100m backstroke and 200m breaststroke; Toby James - 100m butterfly; Barney Woodrow (15) - 50m and 100m breaststroke; Laura Beresford (10) - 50m butterfly; Jack Reape (10) - 50m breaststroke; Amelie McCann (14) - 100m backstroke.
