This book guides businesses implementing the Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) method for product development. While this is not an introduction to Six Sigma, chapter two briefs the reader on the method--a statistics-based process that integrates marketing research, product planning, finance, design, engineering, and manufacturing; and a number of references are provided. The other chapters offer advice for selling companies on the benefits of DFSS, and instruct the reader on how to implement the approach and how to measure success. The final chapter contains a DFSS case study. A glossary and a CD-ROM are included.
