Imperialist Labour living in dream world; LETTERS.
TAL Michael (Letters, Feb 3) makes a noble defence of current and past Labour Leaders. Very much an acquired taste by the party faithful. Both great liabilities to the Labour Party, at times of General Elections. Tal sees Scots Independence as fragmentation of UK - not as the Scots see, it more and more, as freedom from domination of an English Parliament 300 miles away. Labour's foray into Scotland last September, led by Miliband, was an absolute disaster. IF Scots were independent, they could carry out their foreign policy, within EU umbrella ,as does Malta, once also owned by Imperialist Westminster.
Mr Miliband may be a man of principle, yet rushed to abandonment of that when seeking personal power. Sending his brother David into exile, as political expediency dictated - a man so easily recognised as PM material by the public.
Labour are seen so much now, as a Conservative Party, frowning on Nationalism in favour of Imperialism - and living in a dream world, not stepping up to reality.
