Ignoring the inner city; views.

WHY is it that the ruling elite in Birmingham, whenever it implements draconian measures, does not consult the communities that are most adversely affected by the measures? The Con-Lib Dem coalition on Birmingham City Council, when it decided to implement a ring of spy cameras around the inner city areas of Birmingham, decided it did not need to consult the inner city communities. When these cameras became public knowledge, the councillors representing the inner city areas pleaded ignorance.

The Labour administration is doing the same. The Labour council is implementing draconian cuts in public services. The inner city areas are likely to be the most affected yet the council leadership decided it was not necessary to hold any of the public consultation meetings in the inner city areas like Washwood Heath, Handsworth, Aston, Sparkbrook or Sparkhill.

I am not suggesting this may have anything to do with racism but it does have all the appearance of corporate racism that is so common within our state structures.
