Ice cold storage holding picks up bankrupt partner logistics pieces.

Bergen op Zoom, Holland-based Partner Logistics Europe BV is reorganizing after being declared bankrupt by a court in Breda. The company's two largest frozen warehouses in the United Kingdom have been acquired by a newly formed concern doing business as Ice Cold Storage Holding BV.

Partner Logistics sites in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire and Gloucester, which maintain 150,000 pallet spaces at temperatures as low as -28[degrees]C, were part of a deal that also included Dutch sites at Bergen op Zoom, Waalwijk and Bodegraven, and the Ieper coldstore in Belgium. This gives the new company 500,000 pallet places in its European network, which is about 80% of the old company's capacity.

Due to lack of profitability, the former Partner Logistics site at Hams Hall, Birmingham, England, was not included in the takeover. Furthermore, several Partner Logistics sites on the continent were excluded from the deal.
