Ice Tea Discovery at Massey.

Four Massey University Bachelor of Technology (food) students have brewed up a tasty variation on iced tea, as their final-year project. Abbey Thompson, Paula Thomson, Karsten Wishnowsky and Philip Dromgool have created an all-natural iced tea, without preservatives, artificial flavours, colours or added sugar. It is based on green tea, is sweetened with concentrated apple juice and flavoured with either blackcurrant and lemon, or pineapple and lemon juices.

Final-year technology pilot plant projects make students draw on all their learning from the previous three years of the food technology degree. This year students worked on fourteen different projects, ranging from iced tea to chicken curry to chocolate snacks.
