IXMICRO Continues to Improve TurboTV With Updates.

Pre-Release Version 2.0a Software Demonstration at MacWorld Boston

IXMICRO announces another significant software update for TurboTV, a PCI-based video capture card with integrated 125-channel television tuner for both Mac and PC. Designed for the SoHo and home consumer markets, TurboTV is available now for $109 ESP. Version 2.0a is scheduled for release in late September. TurboTV owners will be able to download updates, free-of-charge, off IXMICRO's Web site ( For a sneak peek of the new interface and advanced features to be offered by the update, IXMICRO will demonstrate TurboTV v2.0a at MacWorld Boston, Bayside booth #1216.

Adding to its feature set, TurboTV version 2.0a offers an improved user interface making navigation simpler and more intuitive. More on-screen controls and Command Key equivalents give users options for controlling the application. Version 2.0a delivers additional capabilities such as channel auto scanning and fine tuning. A new preview window allows users immediate access to capture images or video.

Version 2.0a provides an expanded frequency tables which allows users around the world to watch TV on their Mac or PC. Channel names can be personalized to user specifications. The "hotlist" enables users to create television programming categories to customize a viewers' channel preferences. Simplifying channel-surfing, TurboTV v2.0a utilizes keyboard input to change channels. Parents and business owners will appreciate the channel-lock feature which enables them to block certain users from particular programs using a password.
