IVI PUBLISHING, INC. OFFERS 1,150,000 SHARES OF COMMON STOCK

 MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- IVI Publishing, Inc. NASDAQ: IVIP) announced today that the registration statement for its initial public offering of 1,150,000 shares of common stock at $14.50 per share has become effective.
 Invemed Associates, Inc. is the underwriter in connection with the stock offering.
 IVI Publishing is an electronic publisher of medical and health care information in interactive multimedia formats. The company has published Mayo Clinic Family Health Book in IBM-compatible and Macintosh CD-ROM formats.
 Net proceeds to the company from the sale of stock will be used to accelerate development of titles subject to license agreements with Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research, to acquire digital electronic publishing rights to additional titles and for working capital and general corporate purposes.
