IVAC Medical Systems, Inc. Extends Consent Solicitation

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- IVAC Medical Systems, Inc. announced today that the tender offer relating to its 9 1/4% Senior Notes due 2002, which was to expire at 12:00 midnight, New York City time, on November 25, 1996, has been extended. The tender offer will now expire at 9:00 a.m., New York City time, on November 26, 1996, unless further extended or terminated.

All other terms and conditions of the tender offer and consent solicitation relating to the Notes remain as set forth in the Company's Offer to Purchase and Consent Solicitation Statement dated October 16, 1996 as supplemented on October 31, 1996 and November 5, 1996.

The Company has been informed by its depositary, Marine Midland Bank, that as of 5 p.m., New York City time, on November 20, 1996, approximately $100,000,000 of Notes had been tendered.

Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation is acting as the dealer manager for the tender offer and consent solicitation.
