ITT SHERATON CORPORATION LAUNCHES GLOBAL PREFERENCE, CORPORATE PREFERRED
VOLUME RATE AND RELATIONSHIP PROGRAM FOR TOP CORPORATIONS
CAIRO, Egypt, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- ITT Sheraton Corporation today introduces Global Preference, the company's volume-based, negotiated rate and relationship program exclusively for top U.S. corporations who do business in multiple worldwide destinations.
"Global Preference raises our Sheraton Executive Traveler (SET) corporate negotiated-rate program to a new level, offering enticing relationship-enhancing incentives to key companies' corporate travel managers and their travel management companies, as well as for their travelers," said Robert F. Cotter, ITT Sheraton senior vice president and director, marketing and product management.
Global Preference offers preferred volume rates system-wide and at individual customer-selected property locations. The program offers tailored identification to corporations for its travelers to track hotel stays and thereby helps travel managers enforce travel management policies. The Global Preference program also provides customer-designed and customer-driven tracking reports with an unlimited number of "hierarchies," or lists of corporate offices, divisions or subsidiaries.
The program benefits a company's travelers by offering membership to ITT Sheraton Club International (SCI), the company's frequent guest program, made active upon the traveler's first stay. Global Preference corporations' travelers are immediately granted the benefits of ExpressPass, the benefit launched in February that virtually eliminates check-in and check-out for SCI ExpressPass members at nearly 100 ITT Sheraton properties in the continental United States and Canada.
Global Preference supports companies' desire to enforce their travel management policies enacted to help major corporations manage travel and entertainment (T&E) costs.
"We have developed stringent criteria for companies who will benefit from our program, and our industry and focus group research shows that we deliver more quality short- and long-term benefits and value than any competitor," Cotter said.
Through ITT Sheraton's new $70 million worldwide reservations system, Reservatron IV, the company delivers automated access to corporations' negotiated prices when travel managers or their travel management companies make centralized global reservations.
"We offer the unique advantage to large corporations of being a single, central source that incorporates market-to-market rates and relationships," Cotter added.
Because of Reservatron IV's advanced capabilities, ITT Sheraton ensures that its centrally provided Global Preference rates echo those which a property would provide.
"We know we deliver rate integrity because of two overriding reasons; first, the rates are provided by the properties so they reflect an agreed-upon volume-based rate; second, Reservatron IV allows us to monitor all properties' rates so we know that what we offer is what is delivered," Cotter said.
Cotter said that ITT Sheraton has already clearly demonstrated its ability to deliver locally provided rates through its central reservations system with SureSavers, the three-tiered simplified pricing program enacted this April for individual business and leis corporations, thei r avel managers and their travel management companies is that, because of Reservatron IV, Global Preference rates will be accessible to the corporation's designated agents through airline central reservations systems as well.
"Global Preference, coupled with our vast global distribution of newly renovated properties, will make us appealing to the top corporations we expect to attract," said Cotter.
Boston-based ITT Sheraton Corporation, a subsidiary of ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT), is a worldwide network of 430 owned, leased, managed and franchised properties, including 295 upscale and luxury hotels, resorts and all-suites and 135 inns in 61 countries.
