ITT SHERATON AND AT&T JOIN TO OFFER GUESTS SAVINGS & SERVICES WITH LONG DISTANCE CALLS WORLDWIDE

 BOSTON, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective immediately, ITT Sheraton Corporation and AT&T (NYSE: T) join to help guests at ITT Sheraton properties around the world save money and gain services when making international calls. This makes ITT Sheraton the first upscale international hotel company to join AT&T's International Hotel Plan as part of a three-year $60 million relationship between ITT Sheraton and AT&T.
 "Making long distance calls around the world while traveling on business is a standard procedure these days, and allowing our guests to save money and get special services when they make calls makes good business sense," said Hoyt H. Harper II, vice president and director of cooperative marketing programs, ITT Sheraton Corporation.
 ITT Sheraton properties in more than 50 countries offer AT&T Direct Services which provide savings and services travelers desire. Through AT&T Direct Services, ITT Sheraton guests will be able to place calls themselves or through an English-speaking operator, access interpretation services, set up conference calls and place calls to other countries.
 "Our customers tell us part of their decision about where to stay internationally hinges on whether they can reach AT&T easily," said Noelle Stokes, director, International Hotel Plan, AT&T. "They have asked us to make the service more widely available through hotels, and we are pleased that ITT Sheraton is our partner in this effort," she added.
 The International Hotel Plan is part of a series of recent agreements between ITT Sheraton and AT&T spanning three years and totaling $60 million. Under the terms of the AT&T/ITT Sheraton Hospitality Master Agreement and Virtual Telecommunications Network Service program, AT&T will provide long-distance communications services for ITT Sheraton's headquarters, reservations and corporate hotels. In addition, ITT Sheraton's franchised hotels that select AT&T as their long-distance provider are able to take advantage of the relationship. Currently, more ITT Sheraton franchised hotels use AT&T for their long- distance service than all other long distance carriers combined.
